producing cotton. The city gets its name from the river Nag that flows

be the geographical and logical hub of India,

Fashion,
as someone once said, is something that comes in one year and goes out the
other. Well, that holds good even today, although the fashion scene in
Nagpur is very different from that in Mumbai or Delhi. Trends, such as
they are, are mostly imported from the metros and often take a while to
catch on. This is not to say that Nagpur lacks fashion consciousness - it
certainly has its share of trendy people!
The

look.
One
of the old attractions of Nagpur is Maharajbagh. Even though there are
relatively few animals here nowadays, the place is still good for a day's
outing as the place is green and pleasant. It is in severe need of
maintenance as this would help to restore its old popularity.
Ambazari
is situated in the western outskirts of the city. The Ambajhari Lake
(spreads over 15.4 sq km) is surrounded by a picturesque garden. It is a
good place to go for morning & evening walks. Boating facilities are
available. Another attraction is the musical fountain. The proposed water
park along the lines of Essel World, Mumbai, should do a lot to increase
Ambazari's popularity.
Telangkhedi

maintenance, though there have been some efforts by the locals in this
direction. The lake is situated in a verdant and peaceful area and also
has a temple, which is extremely popular.
